Jannik Sinner leads the seeding at the Olympics
Anticipation is growing for the Paris 2024 Olympics, scheduled from July 26 to Aug. 11. As for tennis, the Olympic tournament, which will be played on the clay courts of Roland Garros, kicks off on Saturday, July 27, and will end on Sunday, Aug. 11.
It should be mentioned that the men’s singles draw, as well as the women’s singles draw, will consist of 64 players with 16 seeded players. Leading the seeding will be Jannik Sinner, world number one, with Novak Djokovic the number two seed. A possible crossover between the South Tyrolean and the Serb could therefore take place only in the final.
Among the Azzurri, Lorenzo Musetti will also be seeded. The Carrarino, in fact, è the number 14 in the seeding. By regulation, tennis players from the same nation cannot face each other in the first two rounds and if, seeded, not even until the semifinals. Jannik and Lorenzo could therefore only challenge each other in the penultimate act or in a possible final.
