Mateo Retegui in the balance: Juventus studies exchange with Genoa
Juventus on Mateo Retegui
After Albert Gudmundsson, Mateo Retegui’s future at Genoa would also be in the balance. The Italo-Argentinian center forward, in fact, has reportedly been in the crosshairs of several Serie A clubs in recent weeks, which could decide to sink the coup, one above all Juventus, which would be looking for a deputy Dusan Vlahovic after the sale of Moise Kean to Fiorentina and the probable exit of Arkadiusz Milik.
According to a report in the "Corriere dello Sport", the Bianconeri have reportedly proposed to the Rossoblù a swap to get to the 1999-class center forward. Ds Cristiano Giuntoli, in fact, would have put on the plate the tags of the Polish striker and the young talent of the Next Gen Muharemovic in the hope of lowering the economic demands of the Grifone, which values the player around 20-25 million euros.
The negotiations would still be in the embryonic stage, but in the coming days there could be further developments, as there would also be interest in Retegui from Roma, which is still without a starting striker for next season.
Genoa, as well as for Gudmundsson, would be willing to try to retain the number 19 unless there are irrenounceable offers. In the case of the Icelandic fantasist, the Rossoblù club would have already set the price at 30 million euros, with no possibility of discounts.
