Elena Pietrini consoles herself by signing for Vero Volleyball

Consorzio Vero Volleyball has made official the arrival of Elena Pietrini for the 2024/2025 season. The 2000-class female setter, who had to miss the Olympics, will be available to coach Lavarini once she completes her shoulder rehabilitation.

Pietrini, class of 2000 born in Imola but Livornese by adoption, began her volleyball career in the B2 series in 2015/2016 at Volleyrò Casal de' Pazzi. The following year she climbs up the category always with the Roman club, before settling at Club Italia Crai; in two seasons with the Azzurrine Pietrini tastes first the A2 series (in 2017/2018) then the A1 series (in 2018/2019).

In the following year a further leap in quality: she moved to Savino Del Bene Scandicci where she stayed for four seasons. With the Tuscans, she wins a CEV Challenge Cup (2022) and a CEV Cup (2023) and treads the most important stages nationally and internationally. Last season è she starred in the Russian Superliga with the jersey of Dinamo Kazan, scoring 20 points in the decisive game 5 of the final and winning the national title. She is now ready to get back into the game in the Italian women’s A1 Series with the colors of Vero Volley Milano.

With the Italy jersey, she won a silver and bronze at the World Championships in 2018 and 2022, respectively. She then won a gold in 2021 at the European Championship and a gold in 2022 in Volleyball Nations League.
