Matteo Berrettini won the ATP 250 tournament in Kitzbuhel, beating Hugo Gaston in the final after less than an hour and a half of play. It ended 7-5, 6-3 for the Roman, who in this way won the tenth title of his career, equaling Adriano Panatta. For him, moreover, it is the second triumph in the space of a week, having won the Swiss Open, an ATP 250 tournament on the Swiss clay of Gstaad.
First set without too much of a jolt, and that dragged to 5-5 without any break. To find it è then Berrettini himself in the 11th game, snatching the service from Gaston and thus guaranteeing himself the conquest of the set. In the second, however, the Roman accelerated from 2-1 for his opponent, winning four consecutive games and centering the victory despite the break and counterbreak that finally closed the accounts.
"In tennis anything canò happen, and these last two weeks have been really crazy,‖ Berrettini said in the heat. -I am very happy and very tired, also becauseé Hugo really made me sweat today. The match è was really tough, but all week I played well and è nice to end it this way".
