Charles Leclerc did not hide his disappointment with fourth place at Spa: "What è happened è very simple, we were not fast enough. I felt we were the fourth car today, we expected McLaren and Red Bull, but Mercedes è was faster than expected. And in a normal race, on a dry track, to keep them behind è very difficult".

"We did a good job of keeping Max and Lando behind, but 4° place was the best we could hope for today. We thought we were on par with Mercedes, and instead they had an advantage. That’s why I don’t consider the result as positive, è it went worse than expected", added Ferrari’s Monegasque.

"I thought McLaren had a huge pace advantage, but today we è seen less. Unfortunately, we are the fourth force. The top three keep changing, but we are the ì at most on par with Mercedes. The strategy? We did well to align ourselves with the others, I understand the team’s point of view. You can do what you want at the level of tactics, but you will always lose positions becauseé we are not fast enough".

"The bouncing? At the end of the race there’was a little bit more’ becauseé we were pushing at high speedà and obviously there were more problems. I am so disappointed with this result", concluded Leclerc.
