Second silver of the day for Italy at the Paris 2024 Olympics. After the rowers, to stand on the podium in the shooting è it was Silvana Stanco, who thus improved on her fifth place from Tokyo by taking the much-coveted medal she was missing.

After the exit of former Olympic champion Jessica Rossi, out in the morning for one mistake too many, in the final it was the other Azzurra who held high the tricolor, surrendering only to the impregnable Ruana Oliva, who with the Olympic record struck the first gold in Guatemalan history.

Italy won a total of 40 medals at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics, setting a new record for haul in a single edition of the Games. Ten gold medals, as many silver medals and 20 bronze medals as well.
