Sara Errani è let loose after the victory that sent her and Jasmine Paolini into the final of the doubles tournament at the Paris 2024 Olympics: “We were here, at Roland Garros last year. At the players’ restaurant, I asked them: let’s give continuity to this doubles of ours, maybe we can qualify for the’Olympics. It’ the dream of my life”.

Jasmine Paolini echoed her: “It’ went like this’ but I said yes right away, I was excited. My coach, Renzo (Furlan, nda), also invited me right away to take this opportunity; he told me it would be good for me in singles as well, and indeed…”. 

For Errani è more than a dream: “I had the ball for the’OImpiade since I was a child, it was my dream to participate, then è it became my dream to try to win a medal. For me the ’Olympics è always been the ultimate, and winning it would be worth more than the Slam tournaments I won. I tried for so many years, then I found Jasmine and infected her with my Olympic… enthusiasm. I have to thank her, becauseé after she was eliminated in singles, she didn’t flinch, in fact: she was at the end of her rope, but she gave everything she had to honor the’commitment”.

"Our secret? Having found the right balance between us and the right way to be on the court. I slowly advanced towards the net, I worked hard on it and I am happy to have improved”, concluded the Bolognese.
