Ivan Ljubicic headed over Jannik Sinner

Jannik Sinner has made it to the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the second year in a row.The Blue’s performance at the Championships, however, has not been particularly brilliant so far, in the face of opponents on paper as matchable as Halys or Galan.

On the eve of the match against Russian Roman Safiullin, former Croatian tennis player and former coach of Roger Federer Ivan Ljubicic swept away doubts about the Azzurro to Sky: “The most important thing is that he won, not brilliantly, but in three sets. He did his thing, he was down by a break at the beginning of the second set and managed to recover without going into extreme stress, without panicking.”

“He had so many chances to break Galan’s serve and then once he got unblocked he found the right rhythm. Good, what it takes to go into the quarterfinals. He took advantage of this advantageous board on paper and will now find another player within his reach, Safiullin.”
