Federica Del Buono's adventure in the 1500 meters flat at the Paris 2024 Olympics begins in the worst way. The Italian middle distance runner, in fact, did not è go beyond the fourteenth position in her battery with a time of 4:10.14, thus failing to gain direct access to the semifinals. At the end of the test, the Vicenza athlete did not hide her discouragement to the microphones of "Rai Sport".
"I am sorry becauseè I had moved well until the last lap and I do not know what happened in my legs, but in the final I really collapsed. We will see at the repechage and that is all I have to say. I came to these Olympics with decidedly different ambitions, in fact so far I am very disappointed with how I am running and I hope I can make up for it tomorrow" these are the hot words of the Italian middle distance runner.
The Repechage will be staged on Wednesday, Aug. 7, at 12:45 p.m. and will also involve the other blue athletes who failed to gain direct access to the semifinals, namely Ludovica Cavalli and Sintayehu Vissa who will try to score a not easy access to the Olympic semifinals.
