Cagliari Calcio announced the’acquisition of the right to the sports performance of defender José Luis Palomino, who signed with the club rossoblù an agreement until June 30, 2025 with an option for the following season.

Born in 1990 in San Miguel de Tucumán (Argentina), he began his professional career with San Lorenzo, where he è grew up and where he played for four seasons (48 appearances with the first team). After a season at Argentinos Juniors (18 appearances in 2013/2014), he moved to France, to Metz (59 appearances and 4 goals from 2014 to 2016), and then to Bulgaria, to Ludogorets, with which he totaled 41 appearances and 2 goals in the 2017/2018 season.

In the summer of 2017 he began his long adventure with Atalanta, and he will be an absolute protagonist of the successes achieved by the orobico club. With the Bergamaschi, he becomes a pillar of the defense, contributing decisively to the writing of memorable pages, including the historic Champions League qualifiers. In total, with the Nerazzurri jersey there are 225 games played with 9 goals and 5 assists to’the credit.

Leadership, personalityà and international experience make him an important reinforcement for the Rossoblù defense, bringing quality and security to the backroom.
