25 million euro strike for Atalanta
Hit 25 million euros for Atalanta
To reinforce the defense orphaned by Giorgio Scalvini (he will return at the end of the year) and rejuvenate the department, Atalanta has decided to target Lens’ Kevin Danso. L'Equipe reports. Around 25 million euros will be needed to acquire him, a figure that is anything but indifferent for the orobic club.
Kevin Danso, born in 1999, has been playing in France since 2021, when Lens decided to buy him by shelling out about 6 million euros. He has previously played for Augsburg, Düsseldorf and Southampton. He boasts 23 appearances for the Austrian senior national team, where he made his debut in September 2017.
To acquire him, Atalanta will invest part of the profit that will come from the sale of Teun Koopmeiners to Juventus: the two clubs agreed on a fee of about 55 million euros. In recent days, the Dutchman's situation at the Orobico club had become rather complicated and the only way to come out of it was to grant him a transfer to Turin.
