Agreement until 2027 for 31-year-old long

In the end, Bayern Munich won it. After ending his adventure at Olimpia Milano (two seasons in red and white), Voigtmann was looking for a new sports challenge. Many clubs sought him out but the 31-year-old long player preferred to return to Germany, his home.

Voigtmann has, in fact, accepted the proposal of Bayern Munich. With the German club, he signed a contract until the end of the 2026/27 season. In recent weeks, there had been talk of strong interest from Alba Berlin. Instead, Voigtmann ès choice fell to Bayern Munich.

The German ondo champion returns to play in his homeland a full eight years later. His last team in Germany was the Frankfurt Skyliners. Then he wore prestigious jerseys such as those of Baskonia, CSKA Moscow and, indeed, Olimpia Milano (two-time Italian Champion with the biancorossi).

"I am very happy to be in Munich and to return to Germany and the Bundesliga after many years abroad. I will now be part of what I believe is a very exciting project at Bayern, with great potential, a new arena, a new coach and many players I have already played with and enjoy playing with,³” Voigtmann told Bayern Munich’s official website.
