Parma, a new striker for Fabio Pecchia
Parma places an important blow in the offensive phase. The Emilian club, in fact, has announced the arrival on loan with right of redemption of Matteo Cancellieri from Lazio.
"Parma Calcio announces that it has acquired from SS Lazio the sports performance of Matteo Cancellieri on temporary loan with the right of redemption. Arrived in the Roma Youth Sector when he was 8 years old, Matteo has played the last three seasons in Serie A respectively between the ranks of Hellas Verona, Lazio and Empoli, collecting 68 total appearances in the top series and standing out as the youngest Italian player among those with at least 36 appearances in the last Serie A.
A left-footed outside forward, Cancellieri played in the U17 and U21 national teams before making his debut in June 2022 with the senior national team led by coach Roberto Mancini. Matteo has made quickness and speed, as well as dribbling, one of his hallmarks, but in the last football season he also found the way of goal: he è distinguished himself as the youngest player among those with at least 3 goals scored as a substitute (4 in total in Serie A in 2023/24)" this is the note issued by Parma.
"S.S. Lazio announces that it has sold the right to the sports performance of the player Matteo Cancellieri to Parma Calcio 1913" this, instead, is the statement issued by the biancocelesti.
