MotoGP Austria: Pecco Bagnaia’s record, all the bigs in Q2
Ducati centaur Pecco Bagnaia è was the fastest in pre-qualifying for the MotoGp Grand Prix d'Austria, which will be run on Sunday at the Spielberg track. The two-time world champion had the new record set at the Red Bull Ring in 1:28.508, putting all his rivals behind him ahead of Saturday’s qualifying.
Franco Morbidelli shone by finishing in second position, well also the world leader Jorge Martin (both Ducati Pramac). Fourth time for Team Gresini rider Marc Marquez, who finished ahead of KTM’s Brad Binder and his brother Alex Marquez (also Ducati Gresini).
Also making it into the top 10 and thus avoiding Saturday’s Q1 were the two Aprilia riders Aleix Espargarò and Maverick Vinales, as well as Marco Bezzecchi of team VR46 and Enea Bastiniani (Ducati Lenovo). Not è entered the top 10 Fabio Di Giannantonio, who è crashed and felt bad in a shoulder: his presence for the rest of the weekend è in doubt.
