Preparation kicks off for Pistoia under the orders of coach Dante Calabria
Estra Pistoia è ready to kick off summer preparation for the 2024/2025 season: new coach Dante Calabria will also have at his disposal two players under 20 years of age, who go to complete the red and white roster: they are Leonardo Cemmi, class 2005, and Federico Stoch, one year younger.
Both basketball players have experience behind them not only in Pistoia Basket Junior but also in Serie A 2023/2024, having been aggregated to the first team on several occasions. Stoch, moreover, è returned from the experience with the National Under 18 team this same summer.
The first phase of the Tuscans’ summer preparation will kick off on Monday, Aug. 19, with double daily workouts at the "PalaMelo" in Quarrata from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., as specified by a club note. The facility will be used by the red-and-whites until the "PalaCarrara" becomes available again upon completion of work on the total renovation of the parquet floor.
For Estra Pistoia what is about to begin è the second consecutive season in the top Italian basketball league. Last year, as a newly promoted team, the red and white team coached then by Nicola Brienza (promotion coach in 2023) finished with a brilliant sixth place, then losing in the playoffs, in the first round, to Brescia.
