There is still yellow and red in the destiny of Gregorio Gios
Gregorio Gios remains in Asiago
Migross Supermarkets Asiago Hockey announced on Saturday that it has reached an agreement to extend the deal with 25-year-old defenseman Gregorio Gios through the 2024/2025 season. So it still remains the yellow and red in the destiny of Gios, who in Asiago è was born and began to take his first steps as a field hockey player.
Growing up in the Giallorossi youth sector until he was 15 years old, Gios then continued his field hockey career in the Finnish and US youth leagues. In February 2020 è returned to Italy to wear the Bolzano jersey in the season finale of the EBEL (the current ICEHL).
In the following season he wore the Foxes jersey again until January, then moved to Trentino to play with the Fassa Falcons in the Alps Hockey League. Since the 2021/22 sports year, he has chosen to return to his hometown and become a player with Migross Asiago, with whom he has so far collected 155 appearances, one goal and 22 assists.
Asiago, from the 2022/2023 season, plays in the ICEHL, the league organized by the Austrian federation that also includes three Italian clubs (in addition to the Giallorossi there are Bolzano and Val Pusteria), one Slovenian and one Hungarian. Last year it finished 12th in the regular season, failing to find access to the playoffs.
