Lazar Samardzic to Atalanta, it’s official: details
The jersey change è official.
Lazar Samardzic to Atalanta, on loan with an option right and a mandatory redemption on the occurrence of certain conditions. That was the announcement issued by the Orobic club on Sunday evening, just as Udinese were on the pitch and snatched a point on the field of Bologna. The arrival in Bergamo of the talented Serbian was in the air, and it occurs in the same days in which the Orobian club is grappling with the absences of Teun Koopmeiners and Ademola Lookman, both at the center of as many soccer market intrigues (the former is in the sights of Juventus, the latter of PSG).
"Atalanta BC è is pleased to announce that it has acquired from Udinese Calcio – on a temporary basis with option right and obligation of definitive acquisition upon the occurrence of certain conditions – the sports performance of the player Lazar Samardzic, 22-year-old eclectic Serbian left-footed midfielder, who knows Italian soccer well having collected 93 appearances in the Serie A championship, embellished by 13 goals and 8 assist-gol", reads the note published by the nerazzurri.
So Atalanta summed up Samardzic’s career: "Born in Germany, and more precisely in Berlin, but naturalized Serbian, è grew up in the youth sector of Hertha Berlin, with which he made his Bundesliga debut on May 22, 2020, at the age of 18 years and 2 months, in the victorious city derby (4-0) against Union Berlin. He ends the 2019-2020 season with a score of 3 appearances in the first team and 5 appearances (with one goal) in the second team of Hertha'Hertha".
"On September 7, 2020 – Atalanta continues – he moved to RB Leipzig, but è a one-season departure. Instead, his arrival in Italy takes place in the summer of 2021, when he is bought by Udinese, under which – over three consecutive seasons – he plays a total of 98 matches (the last of which on Aug. 9, in the Coppa Italia against Avellino), also scoring 13 goals and 10 assist-goals. He made his Serie A debut on Sept. 12, 2021 in the Spezia–Udinese match, when he took over for Deulofeu at 81'81' and just 8 minutes later scored the winning goal for the Friulani, his first – evidently – in the top Italian league".
"The Percassi family, the Pagliuca family and the entire Nerazzurri club extend a warm welcome to Lazar, wishing him the best – personal and team satisfaction – in the Nerazzurri jersey" è Atalanta's final welcome to Samardzic.
