Roma, a Spaniard to replace Paulo Dybala
Roma: everything on Riquelme in case of Dybala’s farewell
After the blank-net draw against Cagliari in the Serie A debut match, Roma is already back to work on the market, where the main issue that will hold court in these last weeks of negotiations will be the future of Paulo Dybala, on whom there would be pressure from Al-Quadsiah.
According to a report by "Il Corriere dello Sport", the Giallorsso club, in case of the Argentine striker’s farewell, would already have identified his replacement in Rodrigo Riquelme, a Spanish midfielder born in 2000 from Atletico Madrid, who would be valued at around 20 million euros.
As for Paulo Dybala, however, his entourage has reportedly already reached an agreement in principle with Al-Qadsiah on the basis of a three-year deal worth more than 20 million euros per season. The agreement between the two clubs, however, would not have been found yet, as the Arabs would have put on the table a €10 million proposal, while the Giallorossi would want at least 18 million to let the former Juventus player leave.
On the possible farewell of the number 21, in addition, Roma coach Daniele De Rossi expressed himself in no uncertain terms in the post-match press conference after the draw with Cagliari: "I would be scared of a Roma without Paulo. The team numerically è okay, if someone leaves but we manage to replace them with functional and strong players we will move forward with the players who will arrive".
