Nenad Markovic can't wait to start

Reduced by a season that started poorly but ended on a crescendo, Dinamo Sassari looks to the upcoming sports year with optimism and coach Nenad Markovic is already clear about his intentions, setting qualification for the regular season of the Basketball Champions League 2024/2025 as his first goal.

"We have to be ready, there will be very strong teams already at the preliminary – explained the Bosnian coach – We can work on ourselves: I am happy with the team, they are banging it out, they are giving it their all, slowly we are putting in all the pieces, but I am happy with the availability and how the guys are dealing with this training camp. We have everything we need to prepare ourselves to the best".

Among the new faces facing Dinamo’s summer training camp in Nuoro is Matteo Tambone: "I have had great coaches who were very demanding like Caja, Banchi and Repesa – said the former, among others, of Varese and Pesaro -, I know what it means to work intensely. Markovic è of this dough, plus; having been a high-level player understands even more; certain dynamics and certain situations, the’impact è very good".

Dinamo president Stefano Sardara and general manager Federico Pasquini are also participating in the training sessions as very interested spectators. The training camp will continue, also in Nuoro, in the coming days, in view of the first outings in friendly matches and the debut in the Preliminary round of the Champions League scheduled for September 20 in Antalya (Turkey) against the winner of the match between the Serbs of Spartak of Subotica and the Lithuanians of Juventus of Utena.
