Antonio Di Gennaro doesn’t mince words about Napoli

Speaking at the microphones of 'Kiss Kiss Napoli' during 'Radio Goal', Antonio Di Gennaro è was anything but tender with Antonio Conte’s Napoli, heavily defeated in Verona by Hellas (3-0 the final result for the Gialloblù). The former midfielder, now a TV commentator, tried to analyze the main difficulties for the new coach of the partenopei.

"It was not imaginable a second half like Napoli’s in Verona – he said -, è collapsed too sharply from all points of view. Conte will have to work, net of the players who must arrive. Simeone and Raspadori are reliable, but the reference striker è the real problem of this team".

"Conte bases a lot on tactics and therefore he would have needed the team ready already in training camp and not when the championship started – added the former footballer, who won the Scudetto precisely with the Hellas Verona jersey in 1985 -. Napoli has suffered from the non-arrival of players who will be fundamental in Conte"’s chessboard.

"I seem to see a sad team,” he explained further, “I saw that Di Lorenzo still hasn't recovered mentally and he should be a leader. The team is suffering these general negative dynamics. Spinazzola? Last year he alternated good performances with less".

"Però the problem not him, for me the first problem è related to the attack, in my opinion even Kvara is not è happy to play more central since he è used to playing on the line. Conte è also careful to change certain situations, but the three-four players he hoped would arrive have not yet arrived and he will have a bit of concern" concluded Di Gennaro.
