Mats Wilander gets out of line on Jannik Sinner and Italy'Italy
Mats Wilander is clear about the "Jannik Sinner" case that is making the circuit talk: "I am happy that Jannik Sinner has been found innocent and can go on playing. È a good guy and a blessing to anyone who loves tennis. I am absolutely 100 percent convinced that this positivityà stemmed from an incident between Jannik and a few people within his team" are the words of the Swedish legend to the microphones of Eurosport.
The people who work closely with players must be prepared and ultra careful, because a slightness or a mistake of theirs can destroy a player s career. The process è been terrible becauseé, if through testing you can get a result as small as a billionth of a gram, practically nothing, you have to be just as good and authoritative in the process, becauseé you can not only destroy the career of the individual player but you can also demolish the reputation of the country of origin".
Wilander went on to emphasize the great growth of the Italian movement: "One should not discredit an entire movement. Italy in that sense is doing things great as evidenced by recent exploits at all levels".
The former champion, however, warned everyone about Jannik’s current psychophysical condition: "We do not know how much he has suffered emotionally, psychologically and physically from this affair in recent months".
