Jonathan Milan makes three out of four in Germany

It's a wild Jonathan Milan the one who is performing on the roads of the Deutschland Tour these days: after winning the time trial in Schweinfurt merdoledì and the first sprint finish in Heilbronn on Thursday, the Lidl-Trek Friulian also won on Saturday on the finish line in Villingen-Schwenningen, thus collecting the third success in four fractions.

"It's been a very tough day,‖ commented Milan, who dominates the points classification of the German race.

We started with a climb after about 35 kilometers and from there to the finish I was always really on the limit. The course was undulating, those who tried the breakaway made life difficult for us but we really controlled the race well thanks to the team".

Leader of the general classification è Mads Pedersen, Milan’s teammate, the only other rider to win a stage in the Deutschland Tour 2024: "The plan was to get to a sprint today,” Milan said, “but, of course, if Mads felt better than I did, we would adjust the situation. It means a lot that he in particular led me to the sprint, he did a perfect job".

For Milan è it was his ninth road success in 2024, a more-than-decent haul: "I worked hard this year and Lidl-Trek gave me a lot of confidence,” said the Tolmezzo-born sprinter. “So many teammates helped me, è a factor that definitely contributed to my successes this year".
