The words of Frederic Vasseur after the Dutch GP

.

Frederic Vasseur commented to Sky Sports microphones on the Dutch Grand Prix that saw Ferrari get an unhoped-for podium with Charles Leclerc and an excellent fifth place by Carlos Sainz: "&It was a great race. We approached it saying that we were not so optimistic about the weekend in Zandvoort. Qualifying was difficult for both drivers, but today è it went very well with a good start, good strategy, good pit stops and very good tire management by both drivers".

The team principal of the Rossa, however, is not satisfied: "Charles è managed to keep behind Piastri despite Piastri having an advantage with the tires, since we had come in much earlier. We have to be positive and appreciate the result, keeping in mind, however, that Norris came in way ahead and we have to focus on the win, not on 3° place"

“Putting aside Norris it is a matter of tenths, and è it is true that sometimes you find a positive dynamic by not pushing too hard on the tires – added the French executive – We had the feeling already since Friday that we were in better condition with used tires than with new ones. Today è it was obvious, and è it was a positive weekend. Now we have to build the rest of the season on this basis, because we still have nine races to go with some tracks that suit our characteristics and a new package that will arrive.

"Definitely this result è positive for the confidence of the team, we know that in Monza we will probably be in better conditions in terms of the track. After 72 laps we close five seconds behind Max, considering that we started 4 positions behind him è a positive step but not enough becauseé we are not in F1 to finish third. È however a good step forward for us" concluded Vasseur.
