A top Premier League club overtakes Barcelona for Federico Chiesa
Liverpool on Federico Chiesa
The future of Federico Chiesa, who, after being cut out of Thiago Motta’s technical project, is reportedly still looking for a new team to start again, continues to hold sway at Juventus. In recent days, Barcelona had come forward on the player, but with only a few days to go before the end of the market, the Blaugrana would not yet have definitively sunk the blow due to well-known financial problems.
According to a report by "Tuttosport", Liverpool would have taken advantage of this stalemate situation to establish relations with the Bianconeri and place the overtake on the Catalan club for the blue footballer. The Reds, in fact, would have already put on the plate a 15 million euro offer for the player’s permanent transfer to England.
Chiesa, for his part, has reportedly opened up to the possibility of playing in the Premier League and his entourage has already reached an agreement in principle with the English club on the basis of a four-year deal worth about 5 million euros per season.
New contacts between the parties would be expected in the coming hours to narrow the gap between supply and demand. Juventus, for its part, hopes to find the white smoke as soon as possible, so that it can finally sink the blow for Manchester United’s Jadon Sancho, with whom there would already be an agreement on the basis of a loan without obligation of redemption with a part of the salary covered by the Red Devils.
