Anna Kalinskaya is increasingly radiant
The path continues to continue smoothly.
Anna Kalinskaya continues her golden moment. The Russian advances to the third round of the US Open after managing to get the better of Anna Bondar in just two sets, concluded in just over an hour and a quarter with a final score of 6-2, 6-4. During her career, she had yet to make it to the third round of the last Slam of the season.
Few headaches for Jannik Sinner’s fiancée, who in the first set quickly took a 3-0 lead thanks to breaks won in the first and third games, then could afford to control operations. Moreù balanced the second set, with Kalinskaya going immediately to break in the first game, having it recovered at 2-2 and winning another – decisive – at the eleventh game.
Anna Kalinskaya has earned more than $3.8 million in her career, the result of 292 singles wins and more than 130 in doubles. Currently coached by Patricia Tarabini, the Russian achieved her best result in a Slam in this year's Australian Open, when she reached the quarterfinals.
Anna Kalinskaya debuted on the circuit in 2015: she has yet to win singles trophies on the WTA circuit but has reached 3 career finals, two in 2024 (Berlin and Dubai) and one in 2023 (Tampico).
