Marc Marquez dominates pre-qualifying at Motorland Aragon

It's been a Friday full of surprises that of MotoGp: at the end of pre-qualifying to smile most of all è Marc Marquez, who with a time of 1:45.801 not only recorded the best time but also broke the record of the Motorland Aragon, home of the Gp d'Aragon that returns to the MotoGP calendar after the absence in 2023.

Behind the Ducati number 93 of Team Gresini are the two official Aprilia of Aleix Espargaró (+0.272) and Maverick Viñales (+0.316), while Jorge Martin, with the Ducati of Team Pramac, set the fourth best time, althoughé more than half a second slower than that of Marquez.

Also qualifying directly for Saturday’s Q2 are Alex Marquez (Ducati Gresini, +0.605), world champion nonché leader of the rainbow standings Pecco Bagnaia (official Ducati, +0.790), Franco Morbidelli (Ducati Pramac, +0.904), Johann Zarco (Honda LCR, +0.931), Raul Fernandez (Aprilia Trackhouse, +1.039) and the latter's teammate, Miguel Oliveira, 1.054 behind the best time.

Particularly interesting è the result obtained by Zarco: the French rider è in fact the first, in this 2024, to take the Honda directly to Q2. The Italian riders who will not have to go through Q1 are instead Fabio Di Giannantonio (Ducati VR46, 13°, +1.145) and teammate March Bezzecchi (14°, +1.228), Enea Bastianini (official Ducati, 15°, +1.230) and Luca Marini (official Honda, 17°, +1.479).
