Juventus held back by Roma: 0-0 at Allianz Stadium
The last full-scoring team brakes in the league.
Juventus locked in a draw by Roma, in a 0-0 draw at Allianz Stadium that interrupted the Bianconeri's so far unblemished run in Serie A. Thiago Motta's team was in fact the last to have won all its matches so far in the league, but the home draw still keeps it at the top of the standings where it però now shares the summit with Inter, Torino and Udinese.
Thiago Motta does not throw the most expected players into the fray from the first minute (starting with Koopmeiners and Nico Gonzalez), while Daniele De Rossi chooses Saelemaekers to start with Dobvyk and the former Soulé. The first danger is created forò Pellegrini, with Bremer taking refuge in the corner. Then just Soulé engages Di Gregorio. For Juventus, only at 42' Vlahovic turns on: Svilar c'è.
Roma is favored early in the second half as well, with Ndicka slightly late on a Pellegrini free kick and Soulé closed down by Bremer in the box. Juventus sent on Conceiçao and then Koopmeiners and Nico Gonzalez, the Giallorossi responded with the former Dybala. Challenging Celik è però Yildiz, before the Old Lady’s new acquisitions come on.
In the last quarter of an hour Koopmeiners try to inspire Vlahovic, who forò misses the deflection in acrobatics. But mostly è Conceiçao to scare Roma, without, however, managing to surprise Svilar. Just before the triple whistle è then Angelino just missed the goal with a left-footed shot that would give the Giallorossi the feat. But it ends without goals, and with good signs for both teams.
