Jannik Sinner left Angelo Binaghi speechless.
The words of Angelo Binaghi
The president of the Italian Tennis and Padel Federation, Angelo Binaghi, è was a guest in the studio of SuperTennis at Flushing Meadows: "Compared to other times, è even more; a system success. It è has never been a personal success, but in the past, if anything, it è has been the success of a class of executives who were at first a little crazy because at the beginning this federation was a bit of a bandwagon that was a bit of a mess. Today some of the votes are from Jannik, some from Jasmine, there's something from Matteo, from Errani, from the other guys. There'è appreciation for good management of big events. And there's this system that's positive, involving tennis teachers, tennis schools, sports clubs, SuperTennis television, the technical sector. I think the outcome of this vote was also consistent with what is happening in Italian tennis. In recent months I have been traveling around Italy from north to south and I have registered a satisfaction, a generalized well-being of which this result, 97 percent consensus in an assembly that has never been so crowded as this time, is the consequence of this positive climate”.
The president again thanked for the message from Jannik Sinner that he unveiled during the Salerno Assembly in which he è was re-elected to the FITP leadership. “I found this letter a few weeks ago, it left me dumbfounded becauseé a player who comes number 1 in the world at 23 years old maybe does not have time to think about: sharing the merits that are basically his with other entitiesà; to identify them so sharply; and to write ten lines. Better than that; it was hard to write them".
In Sinner’s words, Binaghi explained, "our story is told, what we did to evolve the system from hyper-negative to super-positive. There’è our present, because heé speaks as a world champion and we thanks to him, Jasmine and others are individually as a system at the top of world tennis. And there'è a total sharing on the future. What he says in general è what I have been saying to our world for a long time. we must not stop, we cannot miss even one of those opportunities that this situation generates for us every day. Other nations are studying us, coming to study us, asking us questions, talking to our professionals. Whoever stops, in a hyper competitive sport, è dead”.
