Jack Draper jokes about it, “Jannik Sinner has only one flaw…”
Jack Draper honors Jannik Sinner
Metabolized by his defeat in the US Open semifinals against Jannik Sinner, Jack Draper had a chance to pay tribute before reporters to the world number 1, even indulging in a witty quip to define the qualities of the South Tyrolean, the first Italian to reach the men’s final at Flushing Meadows.
Responding at the press conference to a question regarding possible flaws in Sinner, Draper replied with a smile: "It's a little tricky to find a flaw, but if I have to say one è that… è too good a guy". Draper thus confirmed his esteem for the South Tyrolean, who won three sets to zero on the court.
"Jannik,” Draper added, “played top-notch tennis from start to finish, and when you find yourself playing against the No. 1 in the world and you can't materialize the chances you have, it becomes impossible to counter him. It's true, in the last hour of the game I was not great but Jannik è simply was stronger than me".
The one scheduled for Sunday in the Italian evening (not before 8 p.m.) è the second final of a Slam tournament for Jannik Sinner: the previous one è was recent and dates back to the Australian Open last January, when the South Tyrolean won by beating Daniil Medvedev launching himself permanently to the top of the ATP ranking reached then in June.
