After Jannik Sinner’s triumph at the U.S. Open, thousands of fans of the San Candido champion flooded Nick Kyrgios’s social profiles. The Australian in recent days had lashed out at Sinner and attacked him without mincing words. Now supporters of the new US Open champion wanted to take revenge.

Nick Kyrgios posted a video dedicated to Taylor Fritz with the caption: "Stand tall, champion. What a tournament you had, you must be proud". Jannik Sinner’s supporters went wild: "Here are the tissues for the tears" and "C'è a time to talk and one to be silent" are just some of the comments that received the most likes.

Jannik Sinner è the second youngest player to win the Australian Open and the Us Open in the same season: the first è Jimmy Connors, who succeeded in 1974 at age 22.
