Guido Migliozzi closes on a high note

Matt Wallace è won the Omega European Masters. The Englishman triumphed in Crans Montana, Switzerland, overcoming Alfredo Heredia-Garcia with a birdie on the first playoff hole, thus winning his fifth title on the DP World Tour. 

On the course of the Crans-sur-Sierre Golf Club (par 70), Guido Migliozzi closed on a high note. The Italian, with a final round of 65 (-5) and a total of 274 strokes (68 66 75 65, -6), è moved up 13 places, finishing in 8th place, followed by Edoardo Molinari, 12° with 275 (-5). 

Migliozzi è was the best among the nine Italians competing, making seven birdies in the final round, despite a double bogey on the first hole (par 4). Also in the Top 30 were Andrea Pavan, 22° with 277 (-3), and Francesco Laporta, 27° with 278 (-2).

In the second event of the "Back 9" series on the circuit, Wallace (64 62 73 70) and Garcia-Heredia (63 69 71 66) finished the final round with a score of 269 (-11). However, è it was Wallace, 34, of Hillingdon, who prevailed thanks to a feat in the playoff, beating the Spaniard and earning $552,500, part of a total prize pool of $3,250,000.
