Jannik Sinner cleared of all charges
Fans of Jannik Sinner are celebrating around the world for a second time, two days after the South Tyrolean tennis player’s triumph at the US Open: the Blue è has been cleared of all charges in the Clostebol case. The world number one breathes a sigh of relief and finally frees himself from a great weight on his shoulders: the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) and the Italian Anti-Doping Agency (Nado) did not appeal against the ITIA's decision after the San Candido athlete's two positive results last March.
The matter è thus definitively closed: this was reported by Corriere della Sera, which reports sources from the secretariat of the International Court of Arbitration for Sport (Tas), to which the eventual appeal was to be handed over. Wada will not submit any ruling, complicit with the expiration of the appeal deadline set for 11:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 9.
The nightmare ends for Jannik Sinner, who after winning his second Slam of the season will be able to devote himself to his next goals: on the horizon are the Beijing and Vienna titles to defend, then the Davis Cup and the Atp Finals to win.
Another goal for Sinner è to end the year as world number one: after his triumph in New York it now seems the easiest goal to achieve.
