Matteo Berrettini calls Jannik Sinner an extraterrestrial.
The words of Matteo Berrettini
Matteo Berrettini spoke on the eve of the start of the Bologna leg of the Davis Cup: "I am super happy and proud of the work I have done in these months to come back. Until a few months ago everything was still in doubt: my fitness, the fact that I am competitive, the fact that in Italy right now there are so many players in the top 50…".
"Being here is doubly pleasing,” he added to Supertennis. “We have an important task, we come from a historic victory: certainly the pressure è strong, but the joy even more. The Davis Cup è a special competition: I would like to remind you that last year we started with a 3-0 loss to Canada and then the Cup was lifted by us”.
Closing remark on the Us Open: "I lost to Fritz who deserved to win and then è went quite ahead…. I always try to put the best version of me on the court and if guys my age or younger than me take me as an inspiration è that’s something I’m very happy about. I try to do that with them as well: I watch them, I observe them to see what they do better than me and I try to improve every day. One in all is Jannik [Sinner], who is doing extraterrestrial things. We are really a nice group, very large but very nice".
