Ferrari, Charles Leclerc says goodbye to black suit

After winning an extraordinary Italian Grand Prix with his Ferrari wearing an’extemporaneous black suit created by the Maranello factory as a tribute to carbon fiber, Charles Leclerc has ruled out the possibility of wearing it again, as a good luck charm, in the upcoming races. Here are his words, reported by f1-news.eu.

"I am convinced that superstition should have no place in my mindset as an athlete. I firmly believe that allowing yourself to be influenced by these things can affect you negatively, and I prefer to approach races with a free and focused mind, without thinking about superstitious gestures or particular rituals."

"I know that many fans see red as a symbol of Ferrari, and I don’t think they would be happy if I wore the black suit for the whole season. Red è an integral part of our identity, and it è important to respect this tradition".

Leclerc on Sept. 1 claimed his seventh victory in a Formula 1 World Grand Prix, all at the wheel of Ferrari, his second of the season after Monte Carlo, his home circuit, and his second on the Brianza track, the “Temple of Speedà”.
