Milan: Davide Calabria’s future is increasingly an unknown
All is silent around one of the team’s flags.
AC Milan soccer market: Davide Calabria è close to reaching 300 appearances in the Rossoneri, but his contract è expiring and at the moment there are neither positive nor negative signals about his possible stay in the team. As a matter of fact, the parties are currently at a standstill, while his place in the team è questioned by the arrival of Emerson Royal.
According to media that closely follow what is happening at Milanello, Calabria is regularly training and remains a staple of the team without wanting to force the club to start talks on his possible contract extension. He remains però on hold, although it does not appear on his part conditions under which to sit at the negotiating table.
On the other hand, the Milan leadership for the moment is not addressing the situation. The future of Calabria simply does not seem to be a topic that currently represents a priority: in this sense, it has shown neither an open interest in renewing the agreement with the defender, nor, on the contrary, the intention to let him leave at the end of the season at zero parameter.
Davide Calabria, a right-back who has gone through the entire trafile from the youth ranks to the first team in AC Milan, represents an anomaly not only for the Rossoneri but for the entire landscape of contemporary soccer. In fact, throughout his entire career he has worn only the Diavolo jersey, as well as those of the Italian national team from Under-17 to senior. In his palmarès remain the 2016 Italian Super Cup and the historic Scudetto of 2021-2022.
