During a lengthy interview given to the microphones of the "Corriere dello Sport", Simone Vagnozzi è returned to talk about the difficulties faced by Jannik Sinner in the last period due to the outbreak of the doping case. More specifically, the coach wanted to express himself bluntly about his client’s behavior in this delicate situation.
"Jannik’s mental strength è simply incredible. It was a roller coaster of emotions, but the way he handled all the pressures and all the repercussions related to the doping case at only 23 years old è was something exceptional" began the coach of the South Tyrolean.
" Darren and I had to understand the moments trying to help him as much as possible. If you usually think two or three times before you express a concept, in those months you needed to do it as many as 10 times. We tried to make him live the best we could by trying to minimize the negative thoughts in his head" added the coach of the world number one.
"It's been a complicated situation for everyone, because we couldn't talk about it with anyone outside the team. It's been a first for everyone" commented Simone Vagnozzi.
