Jannik Sinner è arrived in Bologna

Keeping true to his statement a few days ago, Jannik Sinner è arrived in Bologna to closely support the Italian team engaged in the group stage of the Davis Cup. The world number 1, fresh winner of the US Open, joined his teammates in a hotel in the center of the city of Bologna.

No meeting with the press for Sinner, whose only purpose è to be close to Matteo Berrettini, Matteo Arnaldi, Flavio Cobolli, Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori, who are playing these days for the chance to bring Italy back to the knockout phase of the Davis Cup, to try to replicate the final success of 2023.

In the meantime, the Azzurri are busy getting ready as best they can for the final set of matches, scheduled for Sunday against the Netherlands: on Saturday morning Arnaldi and Cobolli worked under the guidance of non-playing captain Filippo Volandri, while in the afternoon Matteo Berrettini trained behind closed doors with sparring partner Samuel Ruggeri and the two doubles players, Bolelli and Vavassori.

While waiting for the official verdicts of Group A, the one that includes Italy, and Group D with Canada, Argentina, Great Britain and Finland, the other two groups have made their judgments: in Malaga there will be, for the quarterfinals, Australia and Spain from Group B, the United States and Germany from Group C.
