Cagliari, Davide Nicola heads high: “Angry, not down”
Despite the defeat, there'è no room for pessimism.
Cagliari heavily defeated at home by Napoli, which collected a round 4-0 away win. Yet Davide Nicola retains great confidence in the team, albeit accompanied by the knowledge that there must be growth and that some problems must be addressed and resolved as soon as possible.
"The fact that Cagliari did not score a single goal in this match against Napoli, in my opinion, è a pure coincidence – Nicola told 'DAZN' -. We are obviously sorry for the result, but if at the beginning of the match we were contracted, we produced so many chances. È it was so; especially until 2-0, and è an aspect on which we must try to improve. But I am sure we will succeed".
" I evaluate a game in its entirety, and I consider every facet important,” Nicola added. “That is why we have to be angry about the mistakes we made, and maybe blame ourselves for some naivetéà. But we must not be dejected, becauseé Cagliari plays in a way that I like and defends with courage".
" I don’t want to throw the cross on any of my boys. We have to keep working, everyone has to reach the same level of form. And we must not beat ourselves up, becauseé we cannot afford it. We must remain compact and balanced, I am convinced that this group has all the means to make the championship it has to make", è Nicola’s final judgment on his Cagliari.
