Third win out of three matches played for tennis Italy: the Azzurri also beat Holland in Bologna in the last match valid for the Davis Cup group stage. Flavio Cobolli è redeemed himself after the loss to Belgium and won the decisive point by beating Tallon Griekspoor in front of the eyes of an exceptional fan, Jannik Sinner.

Cobolli è imposed himself with the partials of 7-6, 4-6, 6-3, crowning a week to remember for the Italian team, which after beating Brazil and Belgium also overcame Holland (the first point had won Matteo Berrettini against van de Zandschulp), confirming its status as title holder and first favorite ahead of the final stage of the tournament in Malaga.

Cobolli played an excellent first set against Griekspoor, winning the partial at tie-break against an opponent who made very few mistakes thanks to an excellent return of serve. In the second set the Dutchman, unconquerable at the serve, redeemed himself and hit the break in the ninth game. In the third, the Tuscan tennis player è finally managed to break Griekspoor in the eighth game and closed out the match.

Italy first in its group, now the gaze shifts to Malaga, where Jannik Sinner will also be there as a player.
