Verstappen no longer è the one from the beginning of the season. The numbers confirm it: he hasn&#39t won a GP in six races. The last ring, the Spanish Grand Prix last June 23. From there on, only meager figures, thanks to a Red Bull that is no longer è dominant as at the beginning of the season. However, the advantage in the drivers’ standings è still considerable.

The Red Bull driver has a 62-point lead over Norris. Clearly, to aim for his fourth World Championship in a row, the Dutchman è forced, in this season finale, to do some calculations as well. Today, in Baku, he will have to be very careful, trying to take advantage of the fact that Norris will start from the back of the field (although the Briton has guaranteed that he will make a run-up race).

In Saturday’s qualifying, Red Bull showed that the latest work on the single-seater has led to some improvements, although not yet enough to enable it to be able to return to dominance on the track. Verstappen, in Q3, made a few blunders. Little matter, what matters is to do well in the race and, above all, to keep Norris behind.

The British driver, as well as McLaren itself, continues to give several gifts to Verstappen. On more than one occasion, he has not fully exploited the potential of his McLaren, leaving valuable points on the road. Ferrari’s revival è another point in Verstappen’s favor. If he can’t è win, at least let others do it, but not Norris.
