Successful shoulder surgery and two-month stop for Nicol Delago
Nicol Delago è underwent surgery yesterday at the La Madonnina Clinic in Milan after fracturing her right clavicle that she è got while training with her teammates in the multi-purpose group on the snows of Ushuaia, Argentina.
Dr. Andrea Panzeri, President of the FISI Medical Commission, in collaboration with Dr. Gabriele Thiebat and Dr. Riccardo Accetta (head of the’UO of Traumatology of the’IRCCS Ospedale Galeazzi-Sant’Ambrogio) provided a reduction of the fracture.
The’surgery è perfectly successful. Nicol, 28, from Selva di Val Gardena, five podiums in World Cup races, will be on absolute rest for a few days, then begin rehabilitation with a view to returning to skiing, which is expected no sooner than two months after the injury.
