Andy Roddick meets Jannik Sinner and is stunned
Former U.S. tennis player Andy Roddick speaking during the podcast he leads told an anecdote about Jannik Sinner, whom he met just before the Us Open final against Taylor Fritz in New York. Roddick confessed that he was impressed by one particular aspect of the Blue: "Only Federer was like him before the finals".
"I had never met Jannik in my life, I did for the first time in New York, just before the finals. In New York I greeted him quickly, because my biggest fear is getting in the way of someone while they are preparing for a match. With Sinner this attention è however, seemed to me unnecessary. In fact, he è seemed to me very calm".
"I have never seen anyone, other than Roger Federer, be soè calm before such an important appointment. Even his way of celebrating the triumph è different from everyone else: he looks more relieved than anything else", Roddick explained.
"All he cares about, at least that è the impression he gives, è is improving his game. To get back on the field quickly to work. And all of that è è is, in its own way, intimidating".
