Lorenzo Musetti leads the seeding in Chengdu
After the week of the Davis Cup group stage, in which Italy finished in first place in Group A, qualifying for the final stages in Malaga, the ATP calendar includes two events in China, kicking off the Asian tour: the Chengdu ATP 250 and the Hangzhou ATP 250, both scheduled for Sept. 18-24.
Lorenzo Musetti, who did not participate in Davis, taking a few days off, will lead the seeding in the 'Chengdu Open' draw. The Carrara native will make his debut with the winner of the match between Russian Pavel Kotov, world number 61, and Australian Christopher O'Connell, world number 75.
Musetti will not be the only Italian competing in Chengdu. In fact, Lorenzo Sonego and Fabio Fognini will also play the Chinese tournament. The Piedmontese will make his debut with Japanese Taro Daniel, number 90 in the world rankings, while the Ligurian will face Russian Roman Safiullin, number 56 in the world and 8 in the seeding.
