Backups arrive for Jannik Sinner: official announcement

Through an Instagram post Jannik Sinner announced the addition of Marco Panichi and Ulises Badio to the staff. The two, former members of Novak Djokovic’s team, will take the place of Umberto Ferrara and Giacomo Naldi, who left the team a few days ago. "Welcome to the team Marco and Ulises" Sinner wrote in the Instagram post. 

Athletic trainer Marco Panichi has more than 30 years of activity in the tennis world and has worked with such racquet champions as Fabio Fognini, Simone Bolelli, Philipp Kohlschreiber, Na Li, Francesca Schiavone, Daniela Hantuchova and Angelique Kerber. He told Sky Sports in the past: "Sinner è a great athlete, physically I compare him to Nole. He can move his body in space and has an ability to move the chains efficiently".

Ulises Badio è Argentine physiotherapist with a degree in kinesiology and physiotherapy who practices both manual therapy and chiropractic. From 2017 to 2024 he worked with Novak Djokovic and was an important contributor to the Serbian’s resurgence: "Uli è a fantastic person, I see him every day. He makes small gestures that però leave a mark" said Djokovic in the past.
