Sandro Tonali vents: "I used to live two lives"

Sandro Tonali to the microphones of Sky Sport UK è told his heart-to-heart after returning from disqualification for the betting scandal that left him out of soccer for 10 months: "I lived two lives, as if I were two different people. Now wherever I go I am simply Sandro", said the former Milan midfielder.

"I had one life at home, with my family, and one at the training camp. Lì I was very shy, I spoke to practically no one. With my teammates, of course, but even in training it was difficult for me to talk to the staff. Now è completely different, also becauseé I feel that I am always the same person".

"I am Sandro when I talk to the coach, when I talk to my teammates, when I talk to the staff, when I play, when I am with my family, when I go back to Italy. I am Sandro, simply Sandro".

"I missed 10 months of games and I è missed soccer: the stadium, the field, all the emotions you feel… It's been a surprise to me how close everyone in Newcastle has been to me. I was new, in town for only two months, but every person, both in the team and among the fans, supported me 100 percent. Among my teammates, Bruno Guimãraes and Joelinton are probably the ones who have been closest to me, along with Trippier and captain Lascalles. Coming back è was a great feeling".
