Filippo Magnini no-holds-barred on Jannik Sinner

Former Italian swimmer Filippo Magnini also spoke about the case involving Jannik Sinner in an interview with Corriere dello Sport. Magnini also experienced a similar situation in his career, which ended with total acquittal: "I cried every day for three years, I also lost seven kilos in my worst moment and I was sick…".

"Sometimes I think back but fortunately I was among those few athletes who could provide financially and how many could do so today? I am happy for Jannik, I have always been sure of his innocence", explained the'former Blue.

"He had a powerful federation behind him, a chance to have his say and he was heard and believed. It should be an opportunity'allowed to all athletes".

Sinner, fresh winner of the U.S. Open, will return to the field to defend the Beijing tournament in China in late September.
