Departure from Bergamo in the direction of Val Seriana for a short flat section before tackling a series of climbs in the foothills of the Alps around the cityà. Descent to Bellagio and then along the coast to Nesso. Here begins the hardest climb in Lombardy, from Nesso to Colma di Sormano. A 13-km climb with gradients up to 11 percent on a sometimes narrow road with numerous hairpin bends.
