Riccardo Sbertoli new captain of Itas Trentino'Itas Trentino
Itas Trentino has a new captain as of today: he is Riccardo Sbertoli, setter class of 1998, who this year will start his fourth season with the jersey of the reigning European champion club. The appointment è was made official during the presentation evening of the two teams, men's and women's, held in Trento at the headquarters of the Gialloblù club, in the central atrium of “La Cittadella” of the Poli Group.
"I am very pleased and proud that Società saw in me the right person to fill this role,” said Sbertoli, who in Trento, in addition to the 2023/24 Champions League, also won the 2022/23 Scudetto, the 2020/21 Challenge Cup and the 2021 Italian Super Cup. It's a responsibility I gladly take on, convinced that all my teammates will help me a lot in exercising it’

"From a personal point of view, being the captain of Trentino Volleyball represents a very important achievement for me: è a certificate of esteem from people of whom I have very high regard" added the volleyball player who also won, with the national team jersey, gold medals at the European 2021 and World 2022.
Itas Trentino boasts five Scudetti (2007/08, 2010/11, 2012/13, 2014/15 and 2022/23), three Italian Cups (2009/10, 2011/12 and 2012/13), as many Italian Super Cups (2011, 2013 and 2021), five Club World Cups (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012 and 2018), four Champions Leagues (2008/09, 2009/10, 2010/11 and 2023/24) and one CEV Cup (2018/19) in its palmarès, as well as several competitions at the youth level.
