Napoli, Antonio Conte open-hearted about returning to Allianz Stadium
The words of Antonio Conte
These are the words of Napoli coach Antonio Conte ahead of the big match at the Allianz Stadium against Thiago Motta’s Juventus, scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 21 at 6 p.m.
"I hope it can be a challenge that counts for something both for them and for us. We start on two different levels, compared to last year there are 18 points to make up, but certainly both will have a desire for revenge. I don't think a team like Juventus can be happy about finishing third in the league and at a sidereal distance from Inter, just as we can't expect to finish behind them, Milan and Inter with such a gap. I hope that after this match we can have further certainty" began the coach of the partenopei.
"With the market that è ended soì late, all the teams are facing a phase of adjustment. We are working hard to find the right fit and get the new players in the right way, but there's also the need to perform well and bring home points that will count at the end of the year. I expect to give continuity and grow in every aspect. We have to approach every match as if it were a test regardless of our opponent" added the former Inter.
"It's inevitable, my history speaks for itself, 13 years at Juve as a player, winning practically everything. I had the opportunity to coach 3 years that team in a difficult period, opening a cycle of nine consecutive championships. I am honored to be part of the history of the Juventus club, but now I have the immense pleasure of coaching Napoli and for me, who am from the south è a pride and satisfaction. It will beà very exciting to return to that stadium, just as it will beà in the future many years from now if and when I face Napoli as an opponent" concluded Antonio Conte.
