Thomas Ceccon aims for minimum against Jannik Sinner
Great esteem among samples
Not everyone knows that Thomas Ceccon, before turning to swimming, è tried his hand at tennis. And he was very promising, although he later decided to take a’different path, with the splendid results we all have before our eyes.
Like the Venetian, Jannik Sinner è was also born in 2001. “I like his mentality so much,” the Paris gold medalist tells Sportal.it, on the sidelines of a ceremony sponsored by Allianz, of which Ceccon è ambassador. “In swimming he has to be mentally strong, but not as much as in tennis: you can be down two sets and then recover in the other three, he showed us how it is done”.
“In swimming you throw yourself into the pool: you go, you win, you lose, it’s not è as difficult, in my opinion, as tennis” adds with great modesty the backstroke champion.
“If I play against Jannik tomorrow? In my opinion it ends 6-0, 6-0, 6-0, for him of course. Maybe a fifteen I can bring it home in three sets, but it seems rather unlikely” Ceccon concludes.
